Impact is more than achieving targets and financial results, it’s about being purposeful. Making a positive lasting impression and influencing people to engage with you and follow your lead.
I believe that to excel as a leader understanding impact, finding your gaps and working towards it is a game changer. It starts with knowing what’s important (purpose), what you care about (values) and what you’re good at (strengths).
For years I worked as a communications professional seeing leaders struggle to engage and have a real impact. I’d rarely see leaders who were able to be themselves, lead well and connect effectively.
It led me to coaching – I realised that being a communications consultant wasn’t fully impacting people or making changes. I truly believe that coaching can create lasting change for those ready to work on themselves. And my hope is that leaders / people will want to explore the difference coaching can make by working with me.
To bring my experience together I started to explore ways to share my knowledge in communications and combine that with coaching to help as many people as I can to confidently lead in work and life. I say both because we need to learn to be real people who show up consistently with whoever we need to interact with. And interaction is key. It’s the cornerstone of leadership and it’s what’s missing in today’s fast paced, technically focused work environments.
I am a qualified executive coach and a strategic communication consultant specialising in leadership, engagement and change. I have over 20 years’ experience supporting leading organisations from the hospitality, rail, construction and technology industries; delivering the right level of communication aligned to the business strategy and its priorities.
As a coach I help people to maximise performance by supporting them to find clarity and focus. Building confidence and developing strategies to courageously grow, change or move forward in their work and lives. My work with people helps them to discover how to be more impactful and realise their potential. My aim is to create the space to think and an awareness to act within a positive, non-judgemental environment.
